We are a father-son team of bladesmiths who craft blades side-by-side.
Robert Insco (the father): Built his first log cabin at the age of 12, with a hatchet he forged himself. Since then he has made it his lifes work hand hewing people’s dream homes. He has built several hand hewn log blacksmith shops for well known blacksmiths, including the late Tom Clark and one currently under construction for Larry Callahan. His long love for crafting quality items has slowly evolved into bladesmithing. He takes great pride in crafting multigenerational items.
Tanner Insco (the son): Started making knives via stock removal method in 2016 and eventualy evolved into bladesmithing in 2019. He creates hard working knives that are not scared of geting dirty or scrached. He started out making modern knives and over time, and persuasion from bladesmithing friends, switched to the Woodbury and 18th century styling.
When not forging knives, both Rob and Tanner enjoy building hand hewn log cabins, traditional muzzleloader shooting, and spending time out in the woods.
