Spent the good part of an afternoon refining bloom iron. Its a long process of forging folding and welding. The included pictures are of the beginning stages. This iron is some from 2 smelts ago. In essence that smelt was a failure but it did yield a thin bloom, about the diameter of a volleyball. The bloom was cut in half and the other half was worked the previous evening.
